The primary function of the bar rack is to safely hold extra free weights connected and secured to a barbell. It is a feature of our indoor Teen Dream product and is particularly ideal for advanced health and fitness enthusiasts and teenagers working to become stronger at school team sports like swimming, soccer, volleyball, basketball, football and hockey. When paired with a folding bench and barbell (weighted or empty), the bar rack can be used for bench presses that build strength in the chest, pectoral, shoulder and parts of the back muscles. Teen boys are often the most avid users of the bench press, but girls should also perform the exercise (with a lighter weight and higher repetitions) to help develop a curvier, shapelier upper body. Girls will want to use the equipment to help build strength for certain cheerleading lifts (base lifting) and gymnastics stunts (uneven bars and vault).
